Happy Dance December

It’s time for me to bring back my dancing partner from Buenos Aires.  He’s such a popular guy and does a fabulous tango,  and is a great prop for  a Happy Dance.

I am happy because  you are all such special friends to me:  you inspire  and  encourage me!
The Land of Blog is a wonderful place to be.

 A Christmas Day Wedding Anniversary

My Great-Grandparents were Married
108 years ago on
Christmas Day,   December 25,  1893.
Just as today, White was the popular
choice for weddings; however,
some brides, especially the frontier and
pioneer brides, wore dark dresses
that were more practical and could
be worn after the wedding.
The dark  wedding dresses  were
fashionable for the day,  and  little
alteration was needed for the Dress
to be perfect to wear again.

Holiday Dough Bowl

My antique dough bowl, aka trencher, has been decked out for the holidays, just waiting it’s turn to be photographed and posted.

Using greens, antler sheds, pinecones, poinsettias,

A few glittery ornaments and and a red candle,  all of which I had on hand,

It has transformed into  holiday dress!

Until next time, Honey
